^{Using the brushes as they are designed to be used helps connect your mind to the canvas and the brush puts the paint on according to your vision. A lot of artists have difficulty putting their vision on canvas –through using technique and understanding this becomes a natural flow and reduces the stress levels also.}

^COMPOSITION.

^{Learning some of the basic natural laws of composition also improves your ability to produce that which the mind sees. Like learning golf-at first it is difficult but as you start to master these Ideas it becomes natural.}

^{This also allows your individuality to come through. Do not try to be unique-you already are. Just train yourself to allow it to manifest on the canvas.}

^COLOUR.

^{Learning to understand about colour is important. How you can mix colour.}

^{There are basic formulas to making colour and understanding the root colour of your painting. Each picture has its own light value, full sun, soft light, night light etcetera. Understanding simple techniques and being aware how to hold this over all light through out the entire painting to keep it in harmony is a great asset. In fact it separates a painter’s skill and professionalism from the amateur.}

^{Learning techniques and mastering your equipment is really the first step into painting. This can be fun and rewarding. When you sell a painting it’s because somebody has fallen in love with it-that means you have created a gateway. To be a full time artist with enough income to support you is a great way to be. But give the people your best and make there lives more rewarding in the process.}

^{Become a professional in the process-like a doctor or engineer. It can be fun and you can take it to the level you wish. Even as a hobbyist you get to enjoy creating that which you see.}

^{Learn the four corners of your painting and understand what objects do when they are placed in various corners or spaces throughout the canvas. Emotions are created in the painting, not by the object alone but how and where it is placed. This is quite a startling realization when first shown to the novice.}

^{These classes have been set up to help you understand and practice these Ideas under my guidance. You can be a beginner or professional, the classes are designed to cater for all. Abstract-impressionist-realist painters all benefit – look too the art of the old masters and you will see we have lost a lot of this knowledge through trying to be too creative and thought provoking. True art is emotion and feeling and the words is an additive to further enhance the viewer’s knowledge of your portrayal. You can use Oil or acrylic. Please note that I do not use turpentine anywhere on my canvas or for cleaning brushes. It is better to use refined linseed oil for these purposes and brush cleaning soap-this will be explained during the seminar.}

^{But most of all learning how to be good at what you do and mentally becoming an artist in the process.}

^{During the day we will stop for lunch-which will be every one brings a plate. Then for those of you who would like to continue in the evening we can have a meal-wine and discuss those queries that have been lurking in your mind.
